Alana Barlow is Sumitomo Australia’s National Hydrogen Commercialisation Manager.
Sumitomo Australia is a subsidiary of Sumitomo Corporation, a global trading and investment house headquartered in Tokyo. Sumitomo has recently established the “Energy Innovation Initiative” tasked with fast-tracking Sumitomo’s Net-Zero 2050 goal, and the Hydrogen Business Department plays a pivotal role in this. Australia is a critical market for hydrogen production, utilization and export, with Alana leading Sumitomo’s Hydrogen strategy and project development in Australia.
Alana is experienced in international trade, mineral resources and power infrastructure projects throughout Australia, with up-stream and down-stream applications, as well as being an Australian qualified lawyer.
