David Grabau has strong technical proficiency and experience in the resources and energy sectors, with a valuable combination of experience in both government and ASX top 20 corporates. Since joining Austrade as Senior Investment Specialist for resources and energy in April 2017, David has helped a number of major international companies identify and secure investment opportunities in the Australian market. More recently, he has been working closely on Australian capability in hydrogen, renewables, mining technology, critical minerals and lithium-ion battery value chains. David’s previous senior commercial roles include advising major resources and energy companies across strategy, risk, and project management. David spent several years working with BHP across its minerals and petroleum businesses, including management roles in Group Risk and Corporate Development.
