With over two decades of distinguished leadership in the global energy industry, James is a results-oriented executive known for his technical expertise and business acumen. Over the course of his extensive career, he has adeptly led diverse portfolios, holding significant P&L responsibilities, excelling in execution of business operations, new business development strategies, technology development, and risk management. In his current role as the President and CEO of Approtium, a market leader in hydrogen, James is committed to reshaping the company into a market leader in providing eco-friendly, low-carbon hydrogen solutions to a broad spectrum of industrial clients across South Korea. In addition to his current role at Approtium, James’ career spans across key roles at renowned global organizations such as Macquarie Asset Management, Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction, and General Electric. James graduated from Emory Goizueta Business School with an MBA in Finance and from the United States Merchant Marine Academy with a BS in Systems Engineering.
