Markus Thewes joined the Ship Manager and Maritime Service Provider NSB Niederelbe Schiffahrtsgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG in 2007. Besides Tim Ponath, he was one of the key persons to implement and built up the idea of the international NSB GROUP’s philosophy: Developing driving innovations and promoting an entrepreneurial spirit. Beginning of 2015 he relinquished the position of Head of Quality Management. The graduate Engineer was promoted to Vice President / Global Sales with the aim to think ahead and create new perspectives and ideas so as to make use of the synergy efforts of the corporate group. In addition to technical management of a fleet of 50+ vessels, NSB offers crew management and training, engineering services with focus on newbuilding supervision and investments in sustainable, maritime technologies. Since January 2019 he is Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of NSB GROUP.
