Richard Bolt is a Principal of Nous Group, and a nationally recognised adviser on the energy transition.

He is a founding Steering Committee member of Net Zero Australia, which produced Australia’s most detailed analysis of pathways to net zero. He chairs Hydro Tasmania, advises NSW on its renewable energy rollout, and chairs a taskforce to commercialise a clean hydrogen supply chain from Victoria to Japan.

Richard led three Victorian government departments from 2006 to 2018, covering energy and resources, primary industries, education and training, economic development, employment and transport. He has degrees in electrical engineering and public policy and management.
