Samuel Morillon is the Managing Director of Australia and Vice President of Pacific at Siemens Energy, responsible for Australia, South Korea, and Japan.

Morillon first joined Siemens in 2011 as Vice President of Strategy and Sales, where he focused on developing and implementing key strategy initiatives and development pipelines for France, Southwest Europe, and Africa. Later in 2017, he was assigned a leadership position as Chief Executive Officer for Siemens SSK Iran.

Following the company’s spin-off from Siemens in January 2020, he assumed the role as Managing Director for Siemens Energy France where he played a pivotal role in leading the country carve-out process and setting company’s strategic direction. He is based in Asia Pacific since 2021 and is responsible for driving company performance and leading it to a profitable growth.

Morillon was previously Chief Operating Officer at Cybion, a Franco-Italian venture focusing on digital business intelligence. During his tenure with the company, he successfully increased the market penetration rate of internet capabilities in the European industries. Prior to joining Cybion, he had a 10-year long and successful career with Michelin Tyres where he held different technical and global leadership positions.

Before dedicating his professional life to strategy and innovation, Morillon was a field engineer with French Atomic Agency after completing his engineering degree with the Institute of Mechanics of Paris.

In addition, he holds an MSc in Finance from the ESC Clermont Business School in France and an MBA from INSEAD (France-Singapore).

He is a strong advocate of marine protection, devoting his spare time to helping non-governmental organizations in promoting healthy oceans. He is an avid diving instructor and shares passion for geopolitics. He is a member of French think tank l’Institut Montaigne.
