Sandor Gaastra is Secretary-General at the Netherlands Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy. He is responsible for the functioning of the ministry and all its entities as a whole. Before that he acted as Director-General for Climate and Energy at the same ministry, being responsible for the Dutch policies regarding climate goals and the energy transition. Sandor holds a degree in both law and public management. He worked as a scientist before joining national government, and held several management positions within the Ministry of the Interior and the ministry of Justice and Security before joining the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy.
