Yoshi Saito is the Asia Pacific Director of SLB New Energy, a position he assumed in July 2022. He is responsible for establishing and expanding the group’s business portfolio, which encompasses low-carbon energy sectors, across Australia, Korea, and Japan. In this role, he leads our technology-led business positioning and strategic partnerships in CCUS, geothermal energy, geoenergy for heating and cooling buildings, stationary energy storage, low carbon hydrogen, and sustainable lithium production. He has been instrumental in forging key partnerships with some of the region’s largest utility providers as well as industry leaders and governments to support decarbonization of heavy industry and net-zero targets.

During his more than 25-year career with SLB, Yoshi has held multiple leadership positions in diverse parts of the world, including Vice-President of SLB Technology Lifecycle Management, responsible for optimizing performance of the company’s technology assets worldwide; operational and shared services management positions in multiple countries in Europe and Asia, Manager of key subsurface technology development across 10 technology centers; and Head of the SLB technology and manufacturing center in Japan.

Yoshi has a master’s and a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, both from Tsukuba University.
